The autotrailer ran for the last time in 2007 between the 8th and 12th of October and is now having some small jobs done to it before it is back in service on the railway in February 2008.
The autocoach entered traffic for the first time since 1961( when it was withdrawn and used as works study coach in Bristol). It was used for the first time at the Autumn Steam Gala on 15th and 16th September, where it was paired with another Llangollen based autotrailer No. 167. This was the first time the units had been paired together despite the fact the they were both based at Laira in 1957.
After arrival at Llangollen the vehicles underframe was inspected with the vacuum cylinders requiring some minor adjustments done to them before the coach ventured out onto the line for a trip to Glyndyfrdwy behind Hugh Shipton's Pannier Tank on the 11th September.
